Ayamonte Homes

Why should I choose the Costa de la Luz?

Our Company began selling Spanish holiday and retirement properties in 1982. We have at various time had office throughout all the branded coastal and island destinations, not only in Spain but in many different countries. The surrounding area of Ayamonte and Isla Canela remains our personal favourite.

Costa de la Luz

The Costa de la Luz is an undiscovered, unspoilt part of Spain that still enjoys a traditional way off life. The Costa de la Luz has beaches, nature reserves, forests and numerous white-washed villages. The beautiful cities of Huelva, Sevilla and Cadiz offer a rich cultural heritage.

One of the main advantages of the area that it is an undiscovered and unspoilt part of Spain that still enjoys a traditional way off life away from the busy beaches and traffic jams.

Here are some facts:

  1. The constant Atlantic estuaries, inlets, islands, rivers and waterways create a serenity which the Moors understood and built into their towns and even their houses.
  2. The high density and overbuilding have now created overcrowding along the whole Mediterranean coast, where motorways are necessary within the resorts. Not only does the overbuilding affect mico climates of hazy skies and humidity in summer, but also long waiting times at traffic congested points or getting tables at your favourite restaurants.
  3. Access through the airports of Faro or Seville is more economic and easier.
  4. The town remains a more personalised experience where you soon are remembered and greeted, soon bedding into the local culture of shops, golf clubs , marinas or beaches.
  5. The coastline has the highest m2 of surface protected from development, the highest kilometres of cycleways, and the highest m2 of open mooring on tidal estuaries.
  6. It is the only place where you can take a five minute ferry to another country for lunch on simply a coffee. The Ferry to Portugal runs frequently each day.
  7. The real estate prices/m2 are much more economic and affordable than other areas.
  8. The local rates, property raxes, community fees, and water costs are more economic than comparative holiday destinations.
  9. The market has a healthy forecast build on a very strong national market and is fast outperforming other areas.
  10. The rental market is very good as the international portals have far fewer properties than other destinations, plus it has a high seasonal demand from Spanish families and good winter demand from international groups of golfers.
