Many years ago, when I used to attend property exhibitions, I became disappointed and frustrated by the way information was limited to clients who were beginning their search for a home in the sun.
Not only were stands unbalanced, a handful for Florida, Portugal and France, but the majority were for Spain. Worse, the Spanish product was limited to The Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol. These stands amounted to over 60% of the total. The Costa de la Luz and Ayamonte was not always represented or at best limited to one exhibitor.
Ayamonte Town
The clients, confused and unsure would stumble through the hall, frequently caught by strong and experienced sale staff, and would leave with a bag of brochures but more confused than when they entered.
Today we try to highlight one of the last buried treasures in international real estate, Ayamonte and the Costa de la Luz. It is an untold secret for northern Europeans.
The simplicity of the area makes it easy to fall in love with. Not destroyed by motorways or over building. Green zones abound, with inlets of water from rivers or estuaries and blend to create a soft beauty of nature. But beneath this natural beauty is a vibrant town, Ayamonte , full of character, culture, enjoyment and simple lifestyles.
Easily accessed from Faro airport, 45 minutes by car and with less traffic than other destinations to get to your new door. You can chose properties from the town and riverside where you can still stroll into town. Maybe the beach front with the best sand beaches in Europe or around a golf resort set in the nearby hills.
Affordable? Prices are 50% less than equivalent properties in other areas. Running and holding fees? Again cheaper. What more do you want for a good starting position.
